Mrs. Bartley’s Reading Jan. 2 - 6

This week we will read Dear Juno.  We will work on answering questions about the story, using the correct verb with singular and plural nouns, and spelling long o words.

Homework: Monday and Wednesday Your child will have a book to read.  Please listen to them read.  Sign the book and send it back to school.

Math

We will continue with addition of 2 digits numbers with and without regrouping.  We are also working on rounding numbers to the nearest 10.  We will review on Monday and have a test on Tuesday.  Please check your child’s work

Mrs. Bartley’s Reading Nov. 21 - 22

This week we will be discussing and reading about Thanksgiving.  Since we only go to school for 2 days we will not have a spelling test.  We will review English skills that have been taught such as nouns, verbs, and proper nouns.

Please ask your child about Study Island.  This is a great web site for them to work on different skills in language arts and math.

This week we will continue with graphs.  We will work on asking and answering questions about a graph.  Please ask your child about Dreambox.  This is a math computer program that we do every Wednesday.  The kids love it!

We will have a test over chapter 4 (graphs ) on Tuesday.

Mrs. Bartley’s Reading Nov. 9^th – 11th

Since we only go to school 3 days this week, we will not have a spelling, reading, or English test.  We will write a friendly letter thanking our Veterans and have a Veterans Day program Friday morning.  We will also be learning why we celebrate Thanksgiving.  In English we will review using the correct punctuation mark at the end of sentences.

No homework this week.
