Mrs. Bartley’s Reading Feb. 21 - 24

This week we will review fact and opinion and adjectives.  We will also read and retake our test over The Life Cycle of a Pumpkin.  Since it is a short week we will not have a spelling test and will not have homework.

We will also start our writing piece over a trip they have taken.  They can write about a family trip or school trip.  You may want to ask your child about their writing.  They are very excited about sharing their memories.

We will take a test over adjectives on Friday

Math

We will complete Chapter 7 over money.  The test will be Friday.  Please check over your child’s work and have them practice counting money.  Many students are still having trouble with this.

Math

We will continue to work on Chapter 7 money.  Please review coins and their value with your child.  I still have many students who don’t know the value of the coins.  Also practice adding up coins.

We will begin Chapter 7 Money.  We will work on the value of pennies, nickels and dimes, and counting to find the value of a group of coins.  Please check over your child’s work daily.  Have them correct any problems they may have missed.
