Reading: Our story this week
will be What about Me? We will begin
this on Tuesday. We will continue to study sequence and
review compare/contrast as our main skill. In grammar we will be focusing
on how to write a paragraph. Spelling test will be on Thursday of next
week with a pretest on Wednesday. Spelling Words: clean, agree, teeth, dream, grain, coach, display, window, shadow,
cheese, peach, braid, Sunday, float, thrown. Bonus: entertain, complain, bleachers, willow, and wheat.
Bartley Math: We will work on using addition properties to add whole numbers, estimate sums, two-digit addition and adding money. We will also work on addition math facts. Please check your child's work daily. Some students are still having trouble rounding to the nearest 10's and 100's. Please go over these skills too. We try to get one math grade a week. Some grades may be only a short quiz over what we have studied. Please look over these quizzes and tests.
